Fan Expo Boston 2025 Brings Superstars, Cosplay, and Comic Legends to New England

Spread the love

Boston’s pop culture weekend is officially here. FAN EXPO Boston 2025, running August 8–10 at the newly renamed Thomas Michael Menino Convention & Exhibition Center (formerly BCEC), promises an immersive adventure through comics, film, gaming, cosplay, and everything in between.

A Cross-Genre Celebration of Fandom

FAN EXPO Boston is a multi-genre crossover playground—comics, anime, sci-fi, gaming, horror, plus family-friendly programming all under one massive roof. Every year, it draws roughly 55,000+ fans with panels, cosplay contests, vendors, games, and workshops galore.

Celebrity Guests Make It Epic

This year’s lineup is a serious draw. Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christensen lead the Jedi Double-Feature event, appearing back-to-back for photo ops and autographs. Wrestling fans won’t be left hanging either—top-name wrestlers are signing and meeting on the show floor.

Expect familiar faces from Supernatural and more—from Jason Isaacs to John Boyega and Orlando Bloom. Panels, shared selfies, themed merch—all hands-on with your favorite fans and stars.

Talks, Art, and Community Highlights

Comic creators take center stage too. Watch live sketch battles, visit Artist Alley, or meet legends like Frank Miller, Greg Capullo, Scott Snyder, or Joe Quesada.

Cosplayers—this is your stage. The Cosplay Red Carpet is a favorite, along with meetups and giveaways. Additionally, D&D Live-Play Nights and the post-show Bard’s Night Bash deliver tabletop magic into the convention evening flow.

The Venue Upgrade

This year’s event takes place in a newly renamed space: the Thomas Michael Menino Convention & Exhibition Center. It’s among the largest venues in the Northeast—over 500,000 sq.ft. of continuous floor space—offering plenty of room for all things fandom.

What Fans Are Saying

NBC Boston calls it a “three-day pop culture extravaganza,” delivering something for every fandom—and delivering it well.

Local buzz is real, and with guests, creators, and competitions all in one place, this expo feels like the beating heart of fandom in New England.
