Hello LoveBugsss! Happy Friday! Hope you all had an amazing week!
Though we aren’t quite in wedding season yet, I attended my first wedding of 2017 over the weekend, and it was absolutely beautiful. That said, today I’m sharing with you some images of the outfit I wore to my girlfriends wedding. Since the occasion was semi-formal, I went on a dress hunting rampage a few weeks before the big day. Attending a wedding is loads of fun but sometimes finding the appropriate outfit to wear can also be quite daunting. The last thing you want to do is take the spotlight away from the bride. It’s for that reason, I always stick to neutral & blush tones or pastels.
Blush tones particularly has forever been my go-to wedding color because of it’s romantic and feminine charm. But for this wedding in particular I did something a little (well a lot) bolder than my usual choice of a soft pink dress. I WENT RED!
First things first, I know the bride very well (my co-worker turned gal pal). So I knew beforehand, that her number one rule for me was not to show up in white. This is a standard rule for most weddings, but I just so happened to have an all-white wedding soiree last year [see here]. My wedding, all white…every other wedding, ONLY the bride in white! Every bride and wedding is different and since I knew Debra (the bride) was open to bright colors on her guests but NOT white, I decided to go for a really bright look.
The simplicity of the dresses silhouette combined with the bold red color, truly attracted me so once I saw it on Misguided I knew I found the one. There is just so much perfection concentrated in one little dress: the exposed shoulder, the frill, the fit and length, and my favorite…the color! I paired my very red dress with my favorite Ted Baker heels & a simple cuff -link earring from Forever 21.
Debra & Chad tied the knot on February 18, 2017, and I am so happy I was able to share a part of this special day with them. They are by far one of the sweetest couples I know. They both share an undeniable chemistry and, let’s be honest— they’re also super cute together too! Did I mention they got married on a golf course!!! YES! You definitely can’t ask for a better backdrop than a beautifully, manicured golf course. They opted to simply enhance the venue’s stunning backdrop by using soft flowers and hints of tulle accents tied around chairs. I’ve been listening to Debra talk about her wedding for almost a year now and it was absolutely beautiful to see her vision, come to life.
Excitement was in the air as myself and the RE/MAX Elite team sat patiently waiting for Debra to finally make her walk down the aisle. As she made her entrance, we ‘oohed & ahhed’. Nothing is ever more beautiful than seeing the husband’s-to-be reaction when they see their soon to be wife for the first time. Everything is always a blur for me at weddings because I’m always filled with butterflies from all the excitement bottled up inside me. Before I knew it, we were watching Debra & Chad share their first kiss as husband and wife. Did I mention that they’re super cute together?? They really are! Congrats again, Debra + Chad! I am so, so, so happy I was invited to share your big day with you and I wish you nothing but amazing years ahead!
Talk Soon. Nuff Love, Natasha ♥
