Hey StyleLeeders! So if you happen to be like most, when fall comes around you always gravitate towards darker, deeper or neutral tones and I can totally relate. Last weekend I attended a Natural Hair Meetup and Brunch and on the morning of the brunch I woke up and grabbed my camel culottes thinking well its fall so this neutral inspired look will be totally fall appropriate. Oddly enough after taking a shower and giving my hair the good ol’ wash and go, I decided to go bright, cheerful and floral. After all it’s not like we experience the Fall/Winter season in Jamaica (I just like pretending we do haha!).
Right, so I opted for a sky blue, floral jumpsuit to wear to the Natural Hair Brunch Affair held at the Sunset Resorts right here in MoBay. If you’ve been keeping up then you’d remember that I recently spoke about my love for one-piece outfits because of the ease, simplicity and understated fierceness that it brings. Well, when you’re hours away from heading to an event there usually isn’t much time to change your mind about what you originally planned to wear because it’s easier said than done to orchestrate a fab & stylish head-to-toe outfit. Unless you happen to have a one-piece outfit somewhere on standby to act as your savior. Luckily for me…I did, and I was marveling at how quickly I was able to get ready.
I paired my floral jumpsuit with black and white sky-high mules, cinched my waisted in with a matching navy blue belt with rose gold hardware and a matching cross-body bag. Ya’ll don’t call me ‘Miss Matchy Matchy’ for nothin’ haha!
So I took one of summer’s biggest fashion statements into my fall wardrobe and you can too. For my ladies who actually live where the temperatures are already dropping go for jumpsuits that come with sleeves or you can even re-use your summer jumpsuits and layer them with a chic coat, an edgy biker or denim jacket or even a blazer for added warmth (oh & added style!).
