Hey lovies! Hope you all had a fantastic and productive week!
A couple months ago, I stopped by a small vintage market while in Ft. Lauderdale and just as Manny and I were circling the area to leave, I stumbled on this maxi dress. I stood there trying to figure out whether it was a piece I had to have or not. Well, once I skimmed past the price tag and saw $8, I knew I had to have it. Yes just $8!!! #WINNING
Rick-Ashley and I recently ventured out to the beautiful Bellefield Great House and we couldn’t pass up the opportunity to shoot here! There is just so much history that lies behind the walls of the Great House and my vintage maxi dress was the perfect fit for our little adventure touring the home.
Everything about this look influenced my mood heavily while walking through the Great House that day. Somehow standing in an old home built from the 1600’s mixed with my outfit choice enforced feelings of regality. Maybe it had to do with my location or perhaps it was how the figure-flattering tailoring of the dress was pulling my shoulders back. Whatever it was, I somehow felt an air of confidence as I walked through the Great House and waltzed around holding my head high in a disposition of poise and grace.
It’s pretty awesome how my $8, thrifted, full-length dress complemented the plantation architectural design of the Great House so well. The vintage print is unique and contributes to that boho look I’ve been loving but it also gives off an old plantation feel too. To add some extra vintage flair to the look, I wore one of my mothers old handbags and some nude heels.
What are your thoughts on going to the thrift store or flea markets? Picked up anything out of the ordinary recently? Let me know in the comments below. Have a lovely Weekend! Talk Soon. Nuff Love, Natasha ♥
