There are so many options when it comes to cover-ups to wear to the beach. You can go bright, neutral, printed, sheer… you name it! But one swim trend I’m really loving right now is the lace cover-up. Like chiffon and tulle, lace is one of those ethereal fabrics that give your look feminine flair no matter the occasion, especially when it’s in a refreshing shade of white. No matter how you wear lace somehow is exudes a feminine vibe and that’s exactly the look I was going for when I attended a beach party last weekend here in Jamaica.
I knew way ahead of time that I wanted to wear this gorgeous white, lace skirt that I received from Signature 78 but I just hated every possible thing I paired it with. I literally feel like I tried on every single top I own with this skirt, but none of them would quite work. After a while I realized that the skirt just needed something super simple, so I tried pairing it with a white, strapless monokini and TADA!!!! I found my outfit. Sometimes less really is more!
The white monokini layered beneath, worked perfectly under the sheer, lace skirt. Although it is a midi skirt, the sheer, lace fabric allowed for some skin action while also showing a peek of the monokini, giving off more of a sophisticated vibe than a mini. The neon waistband from my Signature 78 sheer lace skirt gave my look the pop of color it needed, yet somehow I wanted a bit more hints of color so I took inspiration from the neon waistband of the skirt and went with reflective aviators and rose gold and coral accessories.
Hope you’re enjoying your weekend, and if you happen to be in Jamaica right now, stay safe while attending all the parties down in Negril! Nuff Love, Natasha ♥
