Remember when I told you about the Andrea Iyahmah Sale! Well, they sent this particular swimsuit to me, but I snagged a little something for myself during that BOMB 50% off sale! Andrea Iyamah is just such a beautiful brand, offering a nice mix between colors, ethnic flare and eccentric, unique pieces. How could I resist buying another one of their swimsuits!? Okay, that swimsuit will be for another post but lets get on to what I wore to a breakfast fete here in Jamaica on Independence Day.
For my readers who have no idea what a breakfast fete is…it’s a party that starts before sunrise and ends by midday!!! Yes you read that correctly, before sunrise! We jump, rave, dance and lyme, from 4 in the morning until 12 midday! Come to the islands and let me show you how the islanders roll, haha!
It’s the type of event that captures your mind, body and soul. You’re filled with anticipation as you wait for the sun to rise, all while drinking mimosas, rum, redbull, ice-cold coffee or coconut water [or if you’re like me, a little of everything!]. Mix in a few Dj’s playing energizing music [dancehall, soca and a bit of hip-hop] along with endless breakfast food options and you’ve got yourself a morning that will live in your memories for a lifetime. It’s an experience that’s hard for me to explain but I highly recommend it ♥
Speaking of endless breakfast options—I ate far too many pancakes at the party! Thank goodness for my outfit choice. I always say a one piece swimsuit or high-waisted bikini is an IDGAF solution to staying real cute at the pool or beach while also going HAM on the food! So my high-waisted bottoms combined with a sheer maxi skirt kept my food baby hidden.
Per usual, it’s all in the details and I love how this swimsuit has both texture and pattern play. Not to mention the abstract stripe print that helped to give my silhouette a lot more dimension! Yaaaaaaaas!!! Now you see why I had to go order another one of these swimsuits? I just can’t stop obsessing over them because they are just so freakn’ flattering! Thoughts? Let me know in the comments below. Talk Soon. Nuff Love, Natasha ♥
