Hey StyleLeeders! TGIF!
Breast Cancer…the most common cancer in women all across mother earth!
So I’ve been all about my birthday for the past week or so and completely focused on LIBRA season, but I think it’s only right for me and also for you to pay it forward for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. You may have never been touched by this disease or maybe you have, but I think there is no better time to learn a thing or two about initiatives that support prevention, further research and also treatment than in the month of October.
For the most part, I think most people are more than aware of this awful disease but unfortunately most of us (including myself) also fail to take the necessary steps to make an effort to detect it at its early stages. The sad news is, no woman or superwoman for that matter is immune to it, yet somehow we don’t do our part by doing the precautionary steps for prevention.
This month let us all make a small change in our lives and attempt to take our health more seriously and visit our doctors more regularly. OH, & lets not limit this to just the month of October, but for our entire lifetime. We take a shower everyday, sometimes twice a day (well…at least I hope so), and us women should be more than able to do a routine self-exam every month. & if by any chance you happen to feel a little concerned or perhaps a little doubtful then it’s always best to go and speak to your doctor. So from now on I’m IN…Are you IN???
So I plan on supporting the cause by incorporating the charity’s chosen color—PINK, at least once every week into my everyday look for the entire month of October. I’m kicking it off by wearing a bright pink dress that I received from Maxie Department Store, right here in Jamaica paired with my nude sandals that I’ve had from BCBG for over 7 years!
Yesterday I spent the first half of my day at a beautiful villa in Spring Farm, Montego Bay—Endless Summer. Listen people…the place did not disappoint! It’s a mansion with breathtaking panoramic views of a freaking golf course and also the freaking Caribbean Sea! I’m dying to go back….DYING!!!! Hopefully I’ll be able to spend a weekend there very soon. Hopefully…lol. Well we’ll talk soon, Nuff Love, Natasha ♥
