Ole Henriksen 3 Little Wonders + Cleanse Kit

The 3 Little Wonders + Cleanse Kit by Ole Henriksen was an impulse buy at Sephora a few months ago. The products included a foaming cleanser, a daytime serum, a night serum and a lightweight moisturizer, all of which can be purchased separately. I spent roughly 6 weeks trying out these skincare treats and I have to start by saying that the 3 Little Wonders Kit was a total pleasure to use. I’ve always been into skin care but I’ve been trying to invest more time and effort in my skincare products and routine and I must say, it really has been paying off. These products work in synergy to reveal a more radiant and youthful complexion and the best part—it contains no parabens, no sulphates and no phthalates. SCORE!

Peek below for my thoughts on each product…

African Red Tea Foaming Cleanser

Ahhhh, YES!!! Cleansing!

When it comes to the art of face washing, I personally take it pretty seriously. I am very careful when selecting skin care products in general because I have sensitive skin and since we basically give ourselves a facial two times a day I have to ensure that what I am cleansing with is effective but not harsh on my skin.

Well…I kid you not, the African Red Tea Cleanser is an amazing foaming cleanser and that says a lot coming from me, because I typically don’t like foaming cleansers. It is non-drying, gentle, refreshing, smells good and it lasts a long time. I used this foaming cleanser both in the mornings and evenings and I found it to be a very effective cleanser. It was able to make me feel refreshed and awake in the mornings and melt away dirt and excess oil at night without stripping my skin of it’s essential moisture.

I have fairly sensitive skin so it’s very important for me to use a cleanser that is gentle enough for my skin and boy oh’ boy, this one was perfect. My skin felt clean, refreshed, soothed and nourished after using it each time. The best way I can describe how this foaming cleanser feels when it hits your face is that it feels like I’m washing my face with a fluffy, white cloud (because clearly I know what clouds feel like lol).

I do plan on purchasing the full size of this product but I think I’ll only be using it in the mornings because the citrus, fresh scent is so refreshing that you feel even more awake after washing—I call it, the perfect wake me up cleanser! Typically, I am not a fan of citrus scents but oddly enough I enjoyed the soft citrus scent of this cleanser. If you wear light makeup the African Red Tea Cleanser will easily remove your makeup but if you happen to be a gal who wears a ‘full glam’ face of makeup the cleanser isn’t strong enough to remove everything.

Truth Serum Collagen Booster

BRIGHTER SKIN…YES PLEASE!!! Listen, the Truth Serum Collagen Booster is definitely the TRUTH! It is a lightweight serum that is jam-packed with antioxidants and good ol’ Vitamin C to help brighten, repair and protect the skin. As someone who has sensitive, oily/combination and somewhat acne prone skin, I am always on the hunt for something that will help to even out my tone and texture while help to diminish the appearance of any dark spots on my face. Let me tell you, this stuff is amazing! It truly works – I saw a noticeable difference after just ONE WEEK of using it. My skin has never been clearer, it looks smooth and bright!

After washing my face in the mornings I apply the truth serum to my face. It has a slightly runny gel consistency and once applied to the skin it feels a little tacky but after roughly 30 seconds it dries matte making it perfect for us oily skin gals to use.

I am so pleased with this product that my skin has since proposed to this serum and now both my skin and the truth serum are happily married! Every time I see myself in the mirror (makeup free) all I see is a woman with radiant skin smiling back at me. This serum will definitely become a part of my everyday routine all the time now.

Sheer Transformation Cream

I thoroughly enjoyed this moisturizer. I used the sheer transformation cream both morning and night because it was the perfect balance of moisture and lightness. I do think this a pretty good moisturizer thats suitable to wear under makeup and also for sensitive, combination-oily skin because it is so lightweight and quickly absorbs into the skin quickly. Nonetheless, I am a bit undecided about how I feel in regards to the product claims of the moisturizer being able to ‘gently exfoliate and fade dark spots’.

My skin did feel and look soft and smooth after using it but I think the other products I’ve been using from the Ole Henriksen line were the main cause of this. Additionally, I didn’t find the sheer transformation creme to be all that hydrating (possibly because it is so lightweight). That said I don’t think this moisturizer is suitable for those with dry skin and for the cold winter months. But hey, I live in Jamaica and have combo-oily skin, so this lightweight face cream is perfect for me!

Invigorating Night Gel

After consistent use of massaging the invigorating night gel to my face every single night, my skin felt baby soft and I had a noticeably brighter complexion in the morning and was (dare I say) luminous looking. After a few days of use I did notice a slight stinging sensation on my face and I assume this is due to the AHA’s in the gel. Despite the stinging/tingling feelings, I still continued using the invigorating night gel because every damn morning when I woke up, walked to the bathroom and saw myself in the mirror, I went into a state of shock! HOLY WOW! My skin looked amazing!

After cleansing my skin at night I apply the Invigorating Gel and let it sit for about 10 minutes to fully absorb, and for the tingle to go away. Then I follow up with the Sheer Transformation Creme and once the morning rolls around, I wake up looking clear, smooth and radiant! [It is a treatment gel so it can be drying. I highly suggest layering a moisturizer on top].

This product is now something I cannot see myself without and I’ve already purchased the full size product so when this runs out I’ll have one ready to go!

Here is a quick breakdown of how I used these products:

Morning and evening:
-Use African Red Tea foaming cleanser.
-Step 2: Use Truth serum collagen booster serum.
-Step 3: Apply Sheer Transformation moisturizer.
-Step 2: Apply Invigorating Night Gel
-Step 3: Smooth on Sheer Transformation moisturizer.

I think it’s very clear how I feel about Ole Henriksen. Their skincare has honestly changed my life and this is by far one of the best skincare lines I’ve ever used for my skin. Now, there is no denying that it is a pretty expensive skincare addition, but because I have seen noticeable improvements to my skins overall appearance, I 100% think it’s worth it! Plus, the travel sized set lasted me 6weeks, so a little does go a long way.

If you are interested in trying out their products I suggest you start by getting one of their value kits/travel size sets. That way you can test out their line on your skin and decide whether you should splurge on the full size products. As for me I have already taken the plunge and bought myself the full sized products and also another small trial size version to take with me when I travel!

Have you heard or tried any of the Ole Henriksen products? What is your favorite product from their line? OH! If you happen to have any holy grail skincare products that you love or recently discovered I would love to hear your recommendations of what to try next. Talk Soon. Nuff Love, Natasha ♥

You should try estee lauder advanced night repair it is magical, not a fan of ole hendriksen way too harsh for me wished it wasn’t, BTW your skin is to die for ?

I was actually tossing up between the estee lauder travel set and ole’s and ended up choosing Ole. So happy I did!!! I’m so sorry it was too harsh for your skin. The only one that was a bit much for me was the invigorating night gel, but I sucked it up and used the heck out of it regardless because I literally could see and feel my skin improving day by day.

While using this set, did you still apply a toner after cleansing?

occasionally I would use my diy apple cider vinegar toner after cleansing.

I really like Ole’s products. Just recently I finished using up the Aloe Vera Deep Cleanser and the Grease Relief Tonic — they’re really good, not drying but still give a deep clean. Have you tried the Nurture Me line? It smells amazing! And it’s super moisturizing for overnight. He always has good Black Friday deals, and I got a travel size of the African Red Tea cleanser w/the brightening wipes so now I’m excited to try the cleanser bc of this post 🙂

OooOOooOOooOoooo lala….I think I may have to pick up that cleanser the next time I’m in Sephora. Thanks for the tip. Oh and I recently got the travel size wipes too and absolutely love them
