So my hands have been pretty full these last few months. From real estate related work, to keeping up with these blog posts and even the back and forth traveling. Life has been beautiful and very hard at the same time. Nonetheless, I wanted to share some products that now have a permanent home on my beauty counter. I recently picked up these babies during my visit to Florida and Atlanta. Most of these products are repurchases because I can’t live without them but I also have a few new items to show you too ♥

Ole Henriksen 3 Little Wonders– I repurchase these the minute I realize I’m almost out! I also have a dedidacated blog post about these babies—yes thats how much I love this set. You can check out that review HERE! I highly, highly, highly recommend you give these babies a try!

Sunday Riley Mattifying Melting Water-Gel Toner– This isn’t your average toner. It starts out as a cooling gel and as it hits your face it liqufies to spread evenly over your skin,  leaving behind mattified, clean skin without any dryness. Though it claims to visibly tighten pores, I haven’t noticed any difference in my pores but I do like this toner, especially since I have combo-oily skin. Plus it’s GREEN, which earns it a few cool points too.

Sunday Riley Luna Night Oil– Here we go again with another really cool colored product! Perhaps I should be a little concerned with the additives that Sunday Riley uses to give her products color, but they work incredibly well so I’ve pushed those thoughts aside. It’s formulated to be only to be used at nights, hence the blue color to signify the time of day. This sleeping oil is definitely a winner because since using this I’ve noticed a significant difference with the texture and dullness of my skin. Now my skin looks smooth and glowing when I wake up.

Clinique Take the Day Off Cleansing Balm– HOLY GRAIL! If you’ve been interested in trying an oil cleanser but like me shared concerns because you have oily or acne prone skin, then you are going to love this! It’s the best of both worlds—the emulsifying-milky balm removes almost all traces of makeup, without leaving the skin greasy or over-drying my skin. I’ve already ordered a second one just to have as backup for when I’m through with this one.

Tarte Maracuja C-Brighter Eye Treatment– I’m not too picky with my eye creams, but this is my third time purchasing this one. It works amazingly well under makeup and it leaves my under eye feeling hydrated and smooth.

Philosophy Hope Renewed in a Jar Moisturizer– I thought the name was cute but gimmicky. After a few days of using this moisturizer I fell in love. It sits amazingly well under makeup, it’s incredibly light, not greasy at all and I can even use it in Jamaica’s incredibly hot and humid summer weather.

Origins Drink-Up Intensive Overnight Mask– I first got a sample size of this mask. Before then I had never used an overnight mask and after giving it a few go’s I realized I had to get the full size to always have in my skincare cabinet. Since I have oily/combo skin I can’t layer on a thick moisturizer if my skin is feeling parched because within a few hours I’ll look greasy. But I can pile on this mask and sleep with it overnight and wake up with my skin feeling hydrated and soothed.

Sephora Rose Face Mask– First things first…I Love Sheet Masks! I literally collect different ones from different brands whenever I’m at any beauty counter. But this sheet mask in particular won the key to my heart. When I went on vacation with Manny, I was out in the sun a lot and this sheet mask snapped my skin back into shape leaving it looking plumped and feeling refreshed.

Fresh Rose Face Mask– Do you see a pattern here with the hydrating face masks? Though I have oily skin, during the summer months my skin typically loses its moisture because I’m out in the sun more. And moisture loss on an oily skin gal only leads to even more oil production, and thats the last thing I want. So I stocked up on a few different masks to use on rotation over the summer months. I like this mask but I don’t love it so I don’t think I’ll be repurchasing it.

Fresh Soy Face Cleanser– This cleanser is uh-mazing. The milky and very conditioning formula removes dirt + makeup, all while leaving your skin glowing.  I’m telling you, this cleanser is a bit of an investment, but totally worth every penny!

Mario Badescu Drying Lotion– A product that has definitely lived up to the hype. This drying lotion landed a permanent spot on my vanity for its effectiveness in zapping away ugly whiteheads or stubborn blemishes while I sleep. It doesn’t disappear right away but, it will disappear at least by 70%, which pretty much makes it practically invisible.

Dr. Brandt Pores No More Primer– A primer that gets so much love and yet it still did nothing for me. I’ve now given this primer several chances. I’ve worn it alone on my no makeup days, I’ve worn it under some of my fave foundations and also over different moisturizers. After trying it several different ways I’ve come to the conclusion that this primer just isn’t for me. I still looked oily even 10 minutes after application and it didn’t cover my pores any different than my regular primers from the drugstore.

IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Pores Powder– After applying my foundation, no matter what the brand, I finish it with this powder and it leaves my skin looking smooth and flawless all day. I still get surprised by how ‘HD’ this powder is. It hides my pores and can make your foundation go from waxy to flawless. It does have flashback if not blended in properly, so remember to blend, blend, blend. Despite the flashback, I love everything about this product because it really does blur out my pores. I only wish I could find something similar for a lot less, ughh!

Tarte Smooth Slate Primer– This stuff is a miracle worker! Say good bye to your pores! This is a thick and heavier primer so you only need a little amount of product. As you massage it into your face, your skin turns into this baby-soft texture while the primes buffs out fine lines and pores.

Cover FX Mattifying Primer– Good but not great! I know this gets an awful lot of love within the beauty community but to me there is nothing special about this primer. It shares a similar consistency to Smashbox’s silicone based primers so it applies seamlessly to the skin. But in terms of oil control—bleh! Didn’t help in that area for me. Don’t think I’ll be repurchasing this one either.

Lancome Teint Idole Ultra 24 Hour Makeup– A game-changer for me. This foundation has been a staple in my collection for over a year now. Its medium to full coverage yet its lightweight on the skin. Best of all it holds up against the hottest of days and it doesn’t slip off my nose like most foundations do.

Becca Ultimate Coverage Creme Foundation– I’ve heard so many great things about this foundation and its ability to prevent oil from breaking through. So I picked it up while in Sephora, and I’ve now been trialling it for just over a month and it has quickly become my new favourite foundation. It’s medium to full coverage but it looks like skin. It stands up against humidity which is always what I look for in my foundations. Oh, and for my combination to oily skin gals…this foundation is for you! Typically I have to blot my face every few hours but with this foundation I now only blot my face once throughout the day! #HOLYGRAIL

Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Palette– Truth be told…I’m not an eye shadow gal! I buy them and then they sit in my vanity until I give them away. But ever since I got my hands on this baby I haven’t put it down. The kit is full of eye shadows in perfect shades that you will use all the time. Best of all…lets talk about the killer color payoff…Yaaaas pigment! It offers both matte and shimmer shades and enough color options for both day and night looks.

Maybelline BIG Shot Mascara– Still on the fence about this mascara. I got it just because of Makeup By Shayla who was the Youtuber behind promoting this. But somehow I feel like I have much better mascaras from the drugstore that I prefer (like Loreal Voluminous).

Stila Magnificent Metals Liquid Eye Shadow–  Foil on fleek! Okay, so I’ve only used this once, but one time was enough to know how incredible this glitter liquid eyeshadow is. I cannot wait to swipe this bad boy on my lids again!

Too Faced Better Than SEX Mascara– My girlfriend put me on to this mascara! She came into the office one day and I had to take a second look to check whether she was wearing lashes or not. NOT!!! She was wearing this mascara and I needed my lashes to get on her level so I had to pick this up too. It really does live up to the hype. It lengthens and volumizes lashes really well without making them stick together.

Benefit Precisely My Brow Pencil– This is one of those products that I will proudly say…’YouTube made me buy it!’ Absolutely amazing! I’ve always had trouble doing my brows, so I wasn’t sure if it would work for me, but it’s seriously the best thing ever. No need to be a makeup pro to use this brow pencil, it glides on easily, isn’t too waxy and it makes doing brows fun.

Bite Beauty Agave Lip Mask– You know those balms that dry your lips out even more? This isn’t one of them. It’s got tons of yummy ingredients like agave nectar, jojoba oil and vanilla, which basically means you’re about to have the softest lips ever.

Nars Matte Pencil, Dragon Girl– Another product that is very popular in the beauty world. You can never have one too many red lipsticks. But this one happens to be BOMB! It’s bold, shares the comfort of a lip balm while having the precision of a lip pencil. Wham Bam, Thank You MAM! Can’t wait to grab a few more of these in a nude, mauve and bright pink. From the packaging to the formula, this lippe is a winner.

Whew! That was a mouth full (& way too much damage to my pocket). What catches your eye? Let me know in the comments below the products you’re loving right now and if you’ve used any of these products before, let me know your thoughts on them.  Talk Soon. Nuff Love, Natasha ♥

Way too many things that I’ve been meaning to try on this list but it’s almost nice to read an even further convincing post. I don’t think I can resist the ole henriksen and that lovely abh palette just the packaging has me mesmerised. Will be sure to give some of these a try. Like you said the downside of some of these are the cost but when we find something that really works for our skin sometimes not even that matters.

What a great, honest review! I feel the same about the Big Shot mascara, and I actually bought it for the same reason, lol. Will definitely be purchasing some of these. Thanks luv!
