It’s always the same dream, Natasha Lee fashion mogul, attending all the exclusive events, styling celebrities and jet setting across the globe to attend fashion shows ever so often, and before I know it, I’m awake—Back to the same ol’ Natasha Lee from Montego Bay, Jamaica.
They say the key to being great is by first figuring out who you really are—finding your voice. Still I wonder why have I been so lost?…Who am I? For quite some time now, I’ve been feeling a sense of emptiness, and ever since graduating from University last year it has heightened & I’ve been trying to fill this growing void in my life ever since. Battling between going to graduate school or following my dreams has greatly influenced my loss of self, and in case you haven’t guessed it, I chose the latter (at least for now).
In the past I often times found myself daydreaming of having a personal stylist at my fingertips, ready to give me all the fashion advice I need, but I didn’t happen to be an A-list celebrity who could afford such luxuries. So…I improvised and started styling myself by taking inspiration from just about anything to put a look together. Fortunately, I discovered fashion blogs a few years ago, and through them, I found empowerment and inspiration and decided that I needed to create one myself—ASAP. Sadly the urgency to create a blog dwindled, and self-doubt changed my NOW into tomorrow, my tomorrow into next week, and before I knew it three years had past and still no blog. I kept finding reasons not to start. Nonetheless my personal style was being noticed wherever I went, and as time progressed I kept hearing the same thing…
“Do you have a blog?”
“When will your blog be up?”
“You need to start a fashion blog.”
It’s taken me almost four years to start, because of my inability to give myself credit and I’ve been stuck in a mental prison of self-doubt, which has been killing my creative side for far too long.
Well here we are now—I’ve finally decided to take the plunge.
Now I might not be your own personal stylist at your constant beck and call, but if you’re anything like me and felt like you had to be rich to afford to look good, StylishLee will change your mind. StylishLee is all about looking good and feeling good on a very manageable budget. I hope to incite the same inspiration I once discovered myself when I read my first fashion blog. More importantly, I hope to reignite the sparks of a forgotten dream or maybe even ignite the flames to a whole new aspiration.
Now let yourself go and let me whisk you away for small yet savory moments of bliss. Come and escape with me into a world of fashion, beauty, travel and photography.
