Hey dolls & gents. Hope you’re all well. I’m officially back in Jamaica and I must admit it’s good to be home. Despite the problems in my little country there is no place I’d rather live. Although I’m back, I kind of escaped the city and headed straight up in the hills overlooking my town. I just needed a bit of space to reminisce on my past week and to get ready for the weeks to come. Plus the view up here is quite magnificent!
Man time flies—it seriously feels like I was just boarding the plane to Florida (I was so busy I didn’t get to take much outfit pics, but I promise to post snippets of my trip throughout the week). That’s the crazy thing about life, time waits on no one, so keep focused on your goals, remember to plan ahead and take everything one day at a time, because it will all come together soon enough as long as you put in the work.
I wanted to look chic and feminine yet feel comfortable and carefree, and my coral maxi dress from Asos seemed like the perfect thing to wear. There’s just something so effortless about them, something so easy breezy———something kinda like a lightweight sheet you wrap around your body and called it an outfit hahaha (kidding…not really).
So, sometime last year I came across the perfect spring-summer dress and in the perfect color & it happened to be this maxi dress. The coral hues in the lightweight maxi brings out my tanned complexion (woop woop) and the silhouette of the dress is absolutely flattering. I paired it with my Grandma’s cardigan (seriously it’s hers lol), and added a mauve clutch from Rebecca Minkoff (sold out-sorry) and a pair of nude BCBG heels (also sold out- double sorry).
