Hey StyleLeeders! So if you’ve been keeping up then you know I had the most amazing weekend while visiting Kingston to attend the We Inspire Women events. It was a weekend of encouragement, empowerment and inspiration. After going through a myriad of emotions on day 1 at the workshop I was excited to attend a lighthearted afternoon at the We Inspire Brunch on day 2.
The brunch was a motivational follow-up to the workshop held the day before (see here for details), where several other women graced the stage sharing their stories of their rise to success and how they were able to RISE past any obstacles they encountered along the way. By the end of brunch each speaker delivered strong and relevant messages which left a strong impact on anyone present in the room.
The brunch, took place in the beautiful banquet hall at the Pegasus Hotel. After a sit-down afternoon lunch, we proceeded to snap photos, connect with the speakers or friends and bask in the beauty & strength that filled the room. The entire day was absolutely magical and I’m eager to attend the next series of We Inspire Women events slated to be held in 2018.
The dress code for the brunch was ‘frills & fascinators’, and though I’ve never been one to love themes, I still opted to go with the flow by wearing a flared dress from Muehleder. The dress was love at first sight and when I actually received it, I was filled with so much joy.
Aside from the fun, emerald color, I love how it moves with every step that I made. You know how I feel about dresses that move?! With every step, the dress came to life and floated around in the most graceful manner. Naturally, I couldn’t stop myself from twirling every time I had to get up from my seat.
To keep the main focus on my voluminous color-block dress, I styled it with a simple nude heel. Though I didn’t wear a fascinator like most attendees, I wore crystal quarts hair pins in my top-knot bun as my own take on the fascinating headpieces. Thoughts? Leave a comment below. Talk Soon. Nuff Love, Natasha ♥
