Hey StyleLeeders! How have you been? I hope your week has been much better than mine. After a frustrating, painful and unsettling week I decided to go on a road trip outside of my home town to help clear my head. Not so much to escape life and the tragedy that shook my entire world to the core but more so for life not to escape me. I needed to go on this journey to spend sometime with myself. It was a beautiful drive, filled with a few moments of music, while the remaining moments were filled with blissful silence. My final destination was Treasure Beach, St. Elizabeth and though it was not a smooth road to get there, I kept going because like life, the bumpy roads traveled often acts as the gateway to a beautiful destination. Though its hard to see it at the moment I can only be hopeful for better days ahead…
The Denim Jumpsuit
My ongoing love affair with jumpsuits doesn’t seem to be ending anytime soon. I know it may seem a bit repetitive but it’s a piece that I’ve grown to love and feel so comfortable in. I really don’t know if there exists anything more cool and comfortable than a jumpsuit (probably denim shorts lol), and I can’t possibly tell you just how comfortable this particular denim jumpsuit from H&M is. I wanted to be as cool, carefree and comfy as possible on my little road trip, so I paired my jumpsuit with a cropped top from YC Clothing. I’ve been digging outfits that covers my body for the most part but there is still a little skin showing. This keeps the outfit interesting and adds a bit of understated sex appeal. I finished off my look with my Kenneth Cole bag pack and matching hologram heels from Zara.
“Life is like a road trip. We may appreciate the smooth stretches, but the bumps in the road are what truly make the journey memorable.” Susan Gale.
