Good morning and happy Monday! I hope you’ve all had an amazing weekend!
Sequins and the holiday season go hand in hand but what happens when the holidays are over? Absolutely nothing! I really hate when someone says sequins should and can only be worn on Christmas or New Years Day. Who in the world made that up? Well, the holidays may be over and I still plan on wearing sequins whenever I feel like. But hey, it’s the start of a new year and that in my opinion calls for an outfit that is glittery like all the twinkly lights and Christmas decorations that are yet to be taken down.
I purchased these distressed sequin pants just over a year ago at a store in Kingston. It really was an impulse buy and that probably explains why it has taken me so long to wear it. You know those pieces you just have to have in moment and have no concrete reason why? These pants are one of those pieces.
Sequins make a really big statement so I prefer to pair them with my beloved basics. This helps to create a single focal point, the sequin pants, in this particular case. I combined my loose fitting sequin pants with a grey bodysuit for a monochromatic grey look. Lastly I slipped into my Ted Baker heels, fluffed my Fro and popped on a deep vampy lip and headed out the door to a girls night out.
