Hair Product Haul

So I have officially ran out of all of my holy grail hair products—basically everything SHEA MOISTURE and GIOVANNI and as I promised myself, for 2015 I will be testing new hair products.  Yes I do have my ride-or-die products but this year I want to explore my options. Now I don’t plan on buying every natural hair product I come across, because I don’t plan on driving myself into a financial fiasco trying to find the best conditioner with slip and the perfect curl definer. So once a product is finished I’ll test another or every month or so I’ll purchase something new with hopes of finding a new champion product.

Hair Product Haul-StylishLee

I went down to my local ‘drugstore’ here in Jamaica (Fontana Pharmacy), and picked up some new products (minus the Curls Blueberry Bliss Jelly) that I will be reviewing in the weeks to come. Here’s what I snatched up…

Creme of Nature Intensive Conditioning Treatment

ORS Olive Oil Replenishing Pak

ORS HairRepair Nourishing Conditioner

Cantu Shea Butter Leave-In Conditioning Cream

Cantu Shea Butter Define & Shine Custard

Coconut Oil

Curls Blueberry Bliss Curl Control Jelly

Ettenio Creme de la Creme- made & sold in Jamaica

Ettenio Moisturizer- made & sold in Jamaica

If you’ve tried any of these products from my haul before let me know your thoughts on them below in the comment section or tweet me @stylishleeds. Thank you & nuff love.

Hey Natasha. I’ve tried the Cantu Shea Butter Leave in Cream but it’s a product I’m still between minds about. Slip is fine but I’m more a defined curls type of girl so I never gravitated toward it. It also takes a while to seep into my strands and I always wondered why but recently I found out I have low porosity hair so hence the “sitting on top” consistency. What’s your hair type and what products work for you in defining curls?

Hello deary, so far I’m really liking the Cantu Leave-In actually. However my hair is high porosity, so going though my hair products with you may not be of much help. My hair routine does include this, which you can find under the Natural-Lee section of my blog. I also found this article which may be helpful for your low porosity hair

      Good Luck love

Hey, yes I did get it at Fontana Montego Bay. I sometimes will use the Kumeas coconut oil, but recently I found this one in the jar in the aisle where epsom salts and aloe vera gel are. Just ask if you can’t find it

    Hey Natasha <3 from England!!

I'm coming on holiday to Jamaica in a few weeks time (SO. EXCITED!) and was wondering if you could recommend anywhere to pick up decent natural hair products e.g. JBCO, Shea Moisture? Everything is so expensive here in England so hoping it will be a bit cheaper!

Wooohoooo! Hey hun. I’m from Montego Bay so options are a bit limited in comparison to Kingston which has much more stores catering to naturals. Here I get my hair products mostly from Fontana in the Fairview shopping plaza. I must warn you though, things are also pricier here in Jamaica as well. This is why often times when I travel to the states I stock up on all my fave hair products. Hope this helped you out a bit. Safe travels and enjoy your vacay when you arrive.
