Maxed Out ¦ Forest Green Maxi Skirt

emerald-forrest-green-maxi-skirt-outfit-ootd-stylishlee-natashaleedsHappy Friday StyleLeeders!!!

I’m in GREEN! A Green Maxi Skirt!!! If there is one color in my wardrobe that is lacking, it is the color green. It’s a color I find absolutely beautiful but for some reason I have little in that shade. I purchased this gorgeous green maxi skirt a few months ago from Asos, and thought it would be the perfect skirt, in the perfect color for the holidays. Unfortunately time got the best of me and now here we are in 2016 and I’m just getting around to wearing it.

I didn’t get to wear it during the holiday season as planned but it still is a great outfit to wear in the first week of the New Year since green does happen to be the color of money and I sure do hope I’m able to add quite a bit of it to my savings this year! Hmmmm…speak it into being they say….how about wear it into being. Wearing Green once a week for 2016!! Okay, perhaps once a month…haha!

I happen to be a big fan of full skirts but I’m always a bit skeptical when purchasing them because I am petite and I often fear I’ll end up looking like I’ve been swallowed up. Well to help combat this little fear of mine, I almost always pair a lengthy maxi skirt with a higher pair of heels. Like these 5 inch pumps I’m wearing from Steve Madden. I’m still trying to figure out how we women manage to walk in such high heels comfortably…it’s a mystery I will never resolve, haha!

I wanted the skirt to act as the statement piece in my outfit so I kept the rest simple. That said, I wore this suede, green maxi skirt with a ribbed, white top and a pair of suede, nude pumps. I also kept my accessories along a pretty neutral palette by going with a small, animal print clutch and a nude, stone necklace. These simple and neutral pieces paired alongside a green maxi skirt certainly made quite a splash. Thoughts? Leave them below. Talk Soon, Nuff Love, Natasha ♥

Oh, I have one more thing I would really love to know. If you had or perhaps have a boldy-colored maxi skirt like this one, what other ways would you style it? Please leave a comment below and share your style tips with me. Thank you.
