Hey you!!! Yes you!!! Happy Happy Monday StyleLeeders! Who else is ready to take on the week ahead??? Okay, I know, I know, Monday’s suck but lets all just try to make the most of it. ♥
So we are all familiar with classic prints and patterns like stripes or plaid and if you’re anything like me perhaps you occasionally grow tired of wearing a black and white striped shirt time and time again. Okay, I lied! I’ll never be tired of my black & white striped shirts but if you ever happen to be looking for something unique to spice up your look, novelty prints may be perfect you. These prints are far more interesting than our regular vertical or horizontal prints and patterns that you see everyday, instead they bring a sense of quirkiness and personalization to any street style look.
I’ve never been a huge fan of color blocking and I think this is one of the main reasons I’m so drawn to this geometric print pattern. Geometric shapes in a piece like my skirt allows me to incorporate more than one color into a look without going overboard.
I paired my geometric print skirt from J.Crew (Similar) with an olive green shirt that I recently got from Carcell Franciva. The olive green color of my tee flowed perfectly with the skirts mash up of darker tones. Plus the structural pyramids in my shirt tied in with the unique shapes on my skirt. I wanted to avoid clashing with my statement print skirt so I went with a dark, neutral-tone heel from Sam Edelman and wore minimal accessories to complete this modern, creative and artistic look. Talk Soon. Nuff Love, Natasha ♥
