Hello Lovebugs, I hope you’re all well and ready for this Valentines weekend & listen don’t be a party pooper just because you have no other half. I won’t be seeing mine this Valentines and I still plan on making the best of it. So lets all smile and be happy for love in general, love for your spouse, your siblings, parents and even your friends. So Hooray to Love. Peace. Kindness. Friendship. ♥ Can I get a hooray??? lol thank you.
So today’s Flashback Friday will be a bit different because I’m sharing with you three past outfits as opposed to one. All of which are Valentines Day inspired. Hope you enjoy ♥
♥ Love Splatter ♥
Last valentines I actually wore this rather modest outfit out to brunch with my family. I wasn’t spending V.day with my boyfriend so I chose to go with this festive (far from sexy) dress, since—well I had no one to look sexy for lol. Instead I dressed the part of a young gal going to eat with her parents haha.
As you probably already know, oxblood has been among falls hottest color trends for a few years now, however oxblood’s sister marsala became the color of the year 2015 so I think marsala for Valentines is pretty appropriate. Marsala wedges…marsala shorts…marsala jewelry…marsala makeup. Gee quite a bit of marsala, it sounds so oddly repetitive yet looks so striking at the same time. I wanted the outfit to shout in a joyous ‘marsala’ fashion so I went simple by pairing the outfit against my black bodysuit and my sheer black blouse.
♥ Paint the town RED for V-Day ♥
How could I not include a valentines inspired look without giving you guys a one-shade, pop-of-colour outfit. HEAD-TO-TOE RED?…why not. It’s bold, it screams the color of love, it works wonders to stream-line and slim the body and it totally makes you appear taller.
Although I’m leaving you with this red on red on red outfit, this won’t be my last monochrome post.
What are your plans for the weekend? 50 Shades will be officially out, so who’s going? If you are, let me know if you plan to hit the movies with your boyfriend or with your girlfriends. I also want to know what outfit options do you have in mind for this Valentines…comfy-sporty-casual or chic and glamorous. Leave a comment below or tweet me @stylishleeds.
