Hello there my StylishLeeders! Spring is all about making statements, & I think a white blazer/dress does exactly this. Why a white blazer you ask? Well, because it looks classy, it looks glamorous, it looks refined, it looks sophisticated….oh & rich! (wow that was a mouth full, haha). There is just something about a long blazer that screams impeccable style and grace (or perhaps socialite/celeb who has the luxury of wearing expensive fabrics while sipping wine in them haha…my crazy imagination). Oh!!! Just a quick disclaimer: if you happen to be accident prone or perhaps you’re just a magnet for dirt like my younger sister…maybe an all white outfit isn’t the one for you (try all black, it looks just as sleek and adds an element of mystery). So now that we’ve established that all white isn’t the most practical, we can however agree that it’s a beautiful spring/summer look! Right?
As you may know (or may not know lol) I come from a family who’s very involved in the real estate business, with my mother being one of the top Real Estate agents on the entire western side of Jamaica. I’m excited to let you in on a little secret…I’ll be joining the business very soon! Last weekend was the official opening of the Remax Elite office here in Montego Bay, and myself along with several other realtors and special guests were in attendance. It was requested that all the realtors wear all white (so we could be easily spot among the crowd). Although I’m not yet a licensed realtor, I still dressed the part regardless because you should always dress how you want to be addressed!
I’ve had this blazer-dress from TOBI for a few months now, but this entire time I’ve been planning to wear it as a dress. However, since I had to look more put together for this particular event I paired it with tailored white pants for a more structured look (& also because the more traditional attendees would have stared at me in disgust if I came bearing legs LOL). I feared my all white power suit would have been a tad bit too hot for a day time event in the midst of spring/summer, but because of the blazers relaxed fit, it was perfect! I tied everything together with a pair of nude pumps and black cat-eye sunnies, to give off a retro chic look. The finishing touch for this look was my Aldo handbag (ughhh I love it so much and as a result I’ve been neglecting all my other bags).
I really loved this outfit! It was clean, yet ultra modern, sharply tailored and comfortable! Oh…& whats amazing about this blazer in particular is that it easily doubles as a dress…I mean…whats amazing about this dress in particular is that it easily doubles as a blazer! See what I did there? Lets just say this long-line, asymmetrical blazer-dress is super versatile and is now a highly coveted piece in my wardrobe! Expect to see me wearing this as a dress one of these fine summer days, or may be paired with distressed denim pants for a more trendy look. Talk soon StylishLeeders! Nuff Love, Natasha ♥
