Having a day full of errands is tiring enough much less trying to look semi-put together while running, walking, and driving back and forth throughout your home town #AtTheSameDamnTime. Whew! So I had a jam packed day and all I could think of is my necessity for comfort, so the first thing I had to do was “X” off my heels #GaspingForAir. YES! I was totally in a no heels kind of mood to top it all off. Well with time also against me I just went full blown casual with high waisted jeans, tan booties and a crochet style cropped top.
I was completely channeling the cool downtown gal that day…& as much as I love my ultra feminine outfits, the urban Jamaican gal in me loves an outfit with a casual cool edge. Furthermore it’s getting hotter here in Jamaica so the iridescent crotchet crop really saved the day. I love the loose and free feeling that the crop top has, it’s super cute, casual and all dem holes in it made it perfect for the breeze to make direct contact with my skin haha! I gotta also make mention of my tan boots I picked up from Payless last summer. It’s very similar to Timberland boots except these are more me because of the lace embroidery on the boots which adds the perfect feminine touch. Next I threw on some stunna shades and automatically I was giving off that laid back Jamaican look. & of course how could I forget my handy-dandy, over-sized tote….jam packed with all of my knick-knacks and paddy wacks (btw what exactly are paddy whacks?lol)
Okay…let me explain what happened to my outfit before you start scrolling below. I know I said it was a no heels type of day, but we’ve all been there where something comes up last minute and all of a sudden you realize you have 30minutes to get to a specific event…YES? lol NO? haha well whatever, this is what happened to me.
I was basically finished my errands for the day and decided to go buy some groceries. I ended up bumping into a long time friend who then invited me to an event…I said YES! (thinking this thing was at a later date) and then my girlfriend says, “great just drive behind me and we’ll go together.” (covers face!!!) Although I was exhausted I felt obliged to go because I already told her yes, so I did what she said….I drove behind her. Now on my way, I touched up my makeup (don’t do this and drive ever, this was an emergency lol), went into my bag of emergency heels at switched the boots for my green stilettos (YES I have a bag on the backseat of my car with spare heels for emergencies like this…#DontJudge) and finally I switched out my over sized tote for this striped satchel that I had my camera in. Hey it all worked out in the end…moral of the story…Always be Prepared.
♥ Sorry for blabbing so much today, talk soon. Nuff Love, Natasha ♥
