I went to Marguerites Restaurant (see review HERE) about a week ago and I was in such a terrific mood that I wanted to wear an outfit that showed it & wearing a feminine dress always does the trick for me. I received this gorgeous dress from Miakalani a few weeks ago and was so thrilled to see the glamorous, bold floral prints. Now I know a few of you may be wondering where the heck am I going in florals during this time of the year. Bey hey, rules are made to be broken right? Okay well fashion rules for sure are made to be broken. Just like how we all wear white after labor day, we can most definitely wear florals in the fall. So don’t think because the temperatures have dropped you can no longer show off your flower power.
I do live in Jamaica, where flowers bloom all year round but for those of you who actually experience the changing of the seasons this post is also for you! So if you want to rock florals this season stick with prints that have a dark, moody background filled with lush blossoms in jewel-tones and bold autumnal hues. Oh and one more thing don’t forget to layer. Grab your leather jacket for an edgy vibe or throw on a heavy knit sweater for warmth, coziness and added texture. If you’re daring enough you can also rock a fitted turtleneck blouse under your floral dress—now that will definitely scream fall!
For my dinner outfit I wanted to be bold and glamorous so I stuck to a monochromatic theme to create a greater impact with my look—a bold floral print RED dress, RED lips and RED barely there sandals. I actually paired this look with an iridescent deep-red clutch but somehow I have pictures holding my black tote that I carry my camera around in because I dropped the clutch in the tote out of laziness from carrying two bags lol. Ahhh well lets all imagine I’m holding the clutch haha! Talk Soon. Nuff Love, Natasha ♥
