Red Hot & Cropped

Hey there! Do you know why I like cropped sweaters? It sort of makes you look tough and feel like a tomboy while still appearing sexy and girly because of the oversized, boxy fit. Unfortunately for me, it’s usually too hot to wear sweaters in Jamaica, even if it is cropped. But guess what??? The weather has been quite indecisive lately, fluctuating between very hot and ‘relatively’ cool. So you know exactly what I did on one of those cooler days right? Grab myself a cropped sweater and take advantage of the ‘cool’ weather!

At least once per year I wear an all red outfit and it’s never on Valentines Day. Well…what better time to dress in red from head-to-toe than at the beginning of the new year! I just love monochromatic looks and I think this is something that will forever be apart of my personal style. But one sure way to bring drama to any look is by dressing in striking head to toe red!

I paired the red, cropped sweater from Slang Teez with these red pants that I got from True Religion. To keep the look urban I tied a plaid shirt around my waist and wore a pair of tan, lace-up booties that were all the rave in 2014 and early 2015…guess what I’m bringing them back for 2016!!!

It might be a bit impractical to wear a belly-baring cropped sweater when it’s really cold out, but hey as I said earlier cropped sweaters have an oversized fit so you can still get your crop top fix since you have the space to add an additional layer beneath, for those chilly days.

Have  great week StyleLeeders! Talk Soon. Nuff Love, Natasha ♥
