Though the temperatures have dropped and it’s almost winter I’m still wearing off-the-shoulders tops. One more reason I love Florida!
I absolutely love, love, love interesting tops. So ruffles, flares, fringe and extra rushing is always a yes in my book. Now don’t get me wrong, I love a good jeans and t-shirt as much as the next girl [see here if you don’t believe me], but I also love adding an interesting element to my looks every now and then because the outfit becomes even more special.
For this look, I’m exposing my décolletage area once again. I just find this area to be so sultry and whenever it is exposed there’s always an element of romance added to your look. This off-the-shoulder ruffled blouse is no exception. The blouse had me at hello the moment I laid eyes on her. When I actually had the chance to try this baby on in store, I just fell in love. The top somehow accentuates my waistline while still adding a bit of volume to my very small bust line. #WINNING! I wore my romantic top to dinner with Manny and finished off the look with my new fave booties and a fresh face. OH! and can we just take a moment to appreciate this bright green miniature bag from Forever 21! I thought a pop of color would be a nice addition to my dark but flirty outfit.
As much as I love prints and bold colors, lately I’ve been really digging more neutrals. I’m sure within a few weeks [or even sooner] I’ll be back to some color. But it’s crazy how as we get older we realize we have a signature look and I think I’ve found mine. Sure I still obsess over bold designs and bright colors, but I’ve noticed whenever I’m pressed for time I pretty much always reach for this type of outfit. I think this explains my recent purchases of only black, white and nude pieces, because they not only match everything but you can wear them time and time again and no-one will ever realize.
Hope everyone is prepped and ready to ring in the new year! Any special plans? Let me know in the comments below!
