Happy Birthday to StylishLee’s ONE-YEAR Anniversary!

Wow! I really don’t even know how to start…

Birthdays tend to always provoke a time of reflection for me. It seriously feels like just yesterday I blew out the candles for my 21st birthday and was on my way to one of the biggest ‘turn-ups’ of my life. Out of nowhere, BAM! I’m a quarter of a century old. Here I am, the BIG 2-5!

Over the summer I actually wasn’t looking forward to this particular birthday because I just wasn’t ready to turn, well—25. Not because I’m scared of growing old but instead because I felt like I wasn’t where I wanted to be in life. I feel as though we all share our own view on what makes someone to have an ‘incredibly successful’ year or life. A week ago I was having a conversation with a dear friend of mine about my frustrations and he explained to me that I should stop measuring success by where I am in life, but instead measure it by growth.

His exact words were, “forget about that damn number Natasha and appreciate what you have!” & I most definitely have. He also told me to ask myself, if I was a better person today than I was yesterday. My answer was yes, & in this case I think I am in a much better place than I was a year ago. Between last year and now I finally mustered up the courage to start StylishLee, I finally took the Real Estate course and now I’m a licensed Realtor working along side the best brokerage ever, I finally convinced my boyfriend to cut his hair lol (okay this really has nothing with growth but he did it for me right before my birthday so I just had to throw it in). My point is, I’m in a different but better position than I was a year ago and I truly hope I am able to say the same next year.

fashion-blog-anniversary-blogiversary fashion-blog-anniversary-blogiversaryPretty exciting to be a year older and a year wiser. In honor of mine and StylishLee’s birthday you know it’s only right for me to do a little birthday shoot. Thank you so much for being so supportive this past year.

fashion-blog-anniversary-blogiversary fashion-blog-anniversary-blogiversaryHow pretty are my metallic #DIY numbered pinatas? I LOVE them! Wanna know why? Because I dislike balloons (well more like have a slight phobia of ballons…sigh). So while everyone else is posting beautiful photos with a bunch of balloons during their birthday I have to find a way to improvise. I loved pinatas as a child and I think I had one at almost every birthday until about the age of 13 lol, so I figured why not get a little nostalgic by incorporating a pinata. I love getting creative so this was a fun little DIY project for me. If you want to know how I created them let me know in the comments below.
