Hello StyleLeeders! I wrote this post a few days ago from my room at the Copper & Lumber Store Hotel. I sat up looking out at the the yachts that sit on the beautiful Bay at the English Harbour, as I reminisced about my day spent in Barbuda. I sailed from A to B [Antigua to Barbuda] by sea with Tropical Adventures Antigua on their Excellence Barbuda By the Sea tour. A 90 minute sea voyage that took me from the St. Johns Harbour in Antigua to the white sands of Barbuda.
Initially, when my host Reeva [CEO of Fashion Formation], told me about this boat tour I was very apprehensive at first. But all my doubts whisked away the moment we set sail for Barbuda. An open bar loosened me up, followed by the picturesque views of the turquoise blue waters. And once my eyes met with the long stretch of powdery, white sands I realized I made the best decision. Reeva was right, seeing Barbuda was well worth the trip!
I spent my the first half of my morning swimming in the warm, crystal clear waters. After having lobster for lunch prepared by the crew on board the Excellence boat, I relaxed in the shallows of the sea and allowed my mind to drift away in what was an idyllic paradise!
Though I enjoyed every moment of my day sailing to Barbuda and spending the day on their 17 mile beach, I was still a little bummed because I had no pics to share with you. The entire point of this post was to share photos of myself and what I wore while in Barbuda but unfortunately my camera failed me and EVERY SINGLE PHOTO was out of focus! (Insert crying emojis here!!!). The struggle of a solo traveler!!!
Though you would have already seen my post about my entire Antigua & Barbuda experience (See HERE), I still found it necessary to share what I wore while walking along the shimmering, powdery beaches of Barbuda.
So as soon as I got back to Florida, I asked Manny for a beach day and not only did we have an amazing time lounging on Ft. Lauderdale beach but I also wore the same Andrea Iyamah bikini that doubled as my swimwear and outfit of the day while in Barbuda.
I love how bold and vibrant this suit is and how easily you can wear it from breakfast right into the pool/beach, back on the streets to go shopping and back into bikini mode while jumping on board a catamaran. Multi-functional! I mean the freaking bikini top can function as a crop top, which I definitely took advantage of when I paired it with my high-waisted skirt while touring the colorful shops in Antigua.
I just love this little high-waisted number because it’s modest and sexy at once. So while lounging around at the beach I was somewhat covered up but still showing some amount of skin. The high neckline and full bodice covered my top half while the high waisted bottoms covered my mid-section but still served butt cheeks and lots of leg action. OBSESSED!
By the way, Andrea Iyahmah is having a SALE on their website right now, so I highly suggest you check them out. I actually just purchased one more swim-set from their website last night [yes I am an avid swimsuit collector] and I plan on wearing it to a beach party in Jamaica in a few weeks!
Let me know your thoughts on high waisted swimsuits. Yay or Nay!? Talk Soon. Nuff Love, Natasha ♥
