Mad About Prints

african-print-dress-outfit-ideas-stylishlee-natashaleedsOver the weekend, my mother and I played host at our family home for a pot luck party with our coworkers and a few of her closest friends. For my StyleLeeders unaware of what a pot luck party is, it’s a dinner party where everyone brings a course or dish and a bottle to share, and you end up with a big feast. It’s a great way to get together with friends and have a fun and fulfilling evening that doesn’t break the bank. All in all we had a fabulous night and let’s just say we all consumed ridiculous amounts of wine that night (surprise, surprise!).

A couple weeks ago the lovely Daniella Stone of DTS Designs sent me three beautiful African printed and inspired pieces. Talk about perfect timing! Summer is in full swing right now and bold, bright prints are on fire in the street style scene. Luckily for me one of the pieces I received was the perfect attire to play host in for our pot luck.

Say Hello to My African Inspired Printed Dress Outfit

A comfortable, lightweight and easy to move in backless, fit and flare, mini dress. This is what I consider the perfect outfit for a night of letting loose with your gal pals in the comfort of your home. The back was definitely an attention getter, but at the same time the bold and vibrant print of the dress also captivated everyone that night. Typically whenever I wear a bold outfit I almost always opt for neutral accessories to ensure that the multicolored printed piece takes center stage. That night I did things a little different and instead played with vibrant accessories in colors that complemented the print of the dress. So I wore my yellow, block-heeled, sandals from Aldo (sold out online) to pick up hues from my very lively and flashy dress.

I’m already planning on wearing this dress again, but I think I’ll wear it a little more casually the next time around with sandals and an oversized day time tote. I can’t express just how much I love this dress! I’m currently stalking the DTS Design website and thinking of purchasing a second dress in another color. Yes I love it that much, don’t judge. If you’re mad about prints like myself then you’re in luck! DTS designs are not only limited to Jamaica but also to the rest of the world!!! Yes they also ship internationally so be sure to treat yourself.

Talk Soon. Nuff Love, Natasha ♥
