GOOD MORNING! So I went, to a “breakfast party”, at 7.30am, on a Sunday…
It’s 7:30am on the lawns of a golf course in Montego Bay. A DJ is pumping out dancehall hits while party goers dressed like they’re attending Coachella music festival are dancing ecstatically to the beat. It’s early Sunday morning and surprisingly everyone looks wide awake. Actually people are all smiles and nothing but adrenaline seem to be rushing in their bloodstream. To my left I see a food court and immediately think how many pancakes I can eat without making my stomach look too big. Straight ahead I’m greeted by a mimosa bar, and a snow cone area and I’m undecided which of the two I should try first. While to my right I see a coconut stand, jelly included. Welcome to Solar Breakfast Party!

So yes, over the weekend I attended another breakfast party and once again I had an absolute blast. Waking up at sun-up is always a challenge for me but when you throw in a few djs playing energizing music, lots of pancakes, Red Bull, coffee and of course rum, you’ll be wide awake and pumping in no time! A little motivated now? HaHa! I’m so excited for another one of these breakfast parties to take place on my side of the island and I hope to see you there too. It’s an experience that’s hard for me to explain but I highly recommend it ♥
African print outfits aren’t just rising, its here to freakn’ stay and exploding all over. The gradual popularity of African prints have become quite evident on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and other social media networks. I can no longer scroll down my timeline without seeing at least one post of someone wearing an African inspired outfit. Perhaps there are more of us embracing our roots—I for sure am!
So my obsession with prints clearly has reached astronomical proportions! As you can see I’ve remained fully committed to wearing every printed piece of clothing imaginable this summer. This particular printed number is by a Jamaican designer of DTS designs, Daniela Stone and I turned things all the way up in this risqué outfit at Solar Breakfast.
I think this ankara printed joggers set is definitely an edgy piece for any gal who dares to stand out and be different in a good way. I felt like I was stepping out of my comfort zone while wearing this outfit but double sided tape had my back and I taped the continent of Africa down tight. Haha! I paired it with a cute pair of gladiator style sandals that I got at a local boutique and a bold red lip.
I have a feeling this is going to be one of those pieces you’re going to be seeing again and again on StylishLee. Perhaps styled with heels the next time around, or maybe even worn as separates…the possibilities are endless. What are you’re thoughts on African Prints? Do tell in the comments section below.
