My 2015 Fashion Resolutions

Okay Okay this will honestly be my last batch of resolutions. Chances are that by now you would have caught up with my 2015 BEAUTY RESOLUTIONS and 2015 NATURAL HAIR RESOLUTIONS, right? Well, today I’m totally shifting gears and focusing attention to my Fashion Resolutions for 2015 & guess what…I only have 3…

1. Invest in a Few Statement Pieces

I spent the past few years streamlining and editing my closet to create a very wearable wardrobe of quality pieces. Now that I have all the basic pieces to pair with just about every outfit I plan on focusing 2015 on getting a few fabulous, statement pieces, like an embellished blouse or faux leather jacket (the ones with all the chains).

2.Wear Unworn Pieces in Current Wardrobe

I have quite an extensive wardrobe so I’ve decided that for 2015 I am going to attempt to work with the all the items in my closet. I plan wearing most if not all the pieces in my wardrobe throughout the year and if by the end of 2015 I still have not worn something, then I will put it in my stash of items to give to those in need.

3. Don’t Jump on every Fashion Trend

This year I definitely plan to stick to my personal style rather than following trends. I’m usually one to stay away from trends; my style is normally pretty minimalistic so there really is no room for anything too risky anyways. Nonetheless, last year I went a little ‘trend happy’ which unfortunately left me with a few pieces that I don’t think I’ll ever wear again. So for 2015 I’m going back to my roots of staying true to myself rather than jumping onto a trend that fades. Don’t get me wrong, I won’t be scared of trying a new trend or pushing my style limits…I just won’t force myself into fitting in with the ‘in-crowd’ just to make a statement.
